This rustic yet modern and spacious log home offers the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure for your Green Mountain getaway. _________ Location and Setting Lakewood Lodge is one of two short-term rentals on the property located just across Rt. 14 from scenic Woodbury Lake, also known as Sabin Pond. Enjoy access to our semi-private beach where you can dip into the lake’s clear, spring-fed waters. The lodge's location offers a perfect balance of seclusion and convenience, with nearby towns like Hardwick just a short drive away. Looking for more space or two houses to rent together for a larger family or group? Check out our 2 bedroom Lakewood Bungalow just down the driveway from the Lodge. __________ Accommodation The lodge boasts comfortable living spaces with modern amenities: Radiant floor heating throughout the main floor Smart TVs in the living room and downstairs bedrooms Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, coffee maker, and Keurig Washer and dryer available for guest use Cozy propane "wood" stove in the living room Please note: Lakewood Bungalow sits just above Rt. 14, which is the main route between Montpelier and Hardwick. The speed limit is 40mph, so please be cautious when crossing the road to the shared beachfront. We have a 10pm quiet hour rule for outdoor gatherings in order to respect our neighbors. Water: One of the luxuries of staying at Lakewood Lodge is the water that flows from our taps. Our home draws directly from a deep private well near some of the purest mountain springs in Vermont, nestled in the granite hills above Woodbury Lake. The result is naturally clean, crisp, mineral-balanced water — no chlorine, no additives, and no need for bottled water. Guests often tell us it tastes like it came straight from a mountain stream. We encourage you to fill your reusable bottles right from the kitchen faucet and enjoy some of the freshest, most refreshing water you’ll ever drink. _______________ Important Safety Information for Guests with Pets: We’re delighted to welcome your furry friends to our home! To ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for everyone, please review the following guidelines and local safety tips: Leash Law: Woodbury requires that all dogs be on a leash or under direct control when outside. Please keep your pet leashed when outdoors to protect local wildlife and respect our neighbors. Tick Awareness: Vermont’s beautiful woods and fields can harbor ticks, especially from April through October. We recommend checking your pets (and yourself) for ticks daily during your stay, and consider using veterinarian-approved tick prevention. Clean Up: Please pick up after your pet at all times and dispose of waste appropriately. Respect Boundaries: Kindly keep pets off furniture and beds, and do not leave them unattended in the home unless crated. Noise: Be mindful of barking, especially during early morning or late evening hours, to maintain a peaceful environment for our wonderful neighbors. Wildlife: The area is home to deer, foxes, and other wildlife. For your pet’s safety, always supervise them outdoors. ____________ Outdoor Amenities Semi-private beach access across Rt. 14, with shared kayaks and paddle boards Private hot tub on the porch for relaxation Fire pits (one private at the lodge and one semi-private at the beach) for evening gatherings Ample parking at the top of the driveway. ________________ Activities and Attractions Lakewood Lodge is an ideal base for exploring Vermont's natural beauty and local culture: Hiking trails in nearby Woodbury Mountain Wilderness Preserve and Woodbury Wildlife Reserve Biking on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail Winter activities including snowshoeing and cross-country skiing at local trails Nearby farms and markets, including the charming Flywheel Farm Easy access to local breweries, distilleries, and the famous Vermont Cheese Trail ______________ Local Amenities East Calais General Store (4 miles away) for daily essentials and local charm Buffalo Mountain Market in Hardwick for organic groceries and local products Various dining options in Hardwick, from casual eateries to upscale restaurants ______________ Additional Information Fast Wi-Fi available Strict no-smoking policy inside the lodge Check-in time is from 4:00 PM _______________ At Lakewood Lodge, we've created a space where you can unwind, reconnect with nature, and create lasting memories. Susan and Mark were AMAZING hosts!! My girlfriend and I were greeted by Maggie as we were packing up to depart from the AirBNB and we were so excited to tell her about our wonderful experience! The amenities are as advertised, the location is beautiful and I can happily say I’m excited to look right back at this spot for a summer trip!

Great place ! This was our second year staying there and we love it. Susan is very responsive and so is the caretaker who lives next door Ms. Maggie. Both helped us with great recommendations. House is great and clean. Hot tub is amazing! Beds are comfortable, but keep in mind the bed in the main upstairs bedroom is not very big and if you are used to a king size you will need some time to adjust to it. You will love the place and the surroundings!

Wow! This is a wonderful place! It’s extremely well equipped. The heated floors and the propane stove made our visit during an extreme cold snap extremely cozy and warm. We loved the big bathtub upstairs with beautiful views. Having a nice washer and dryer to use was great. We felt like every amenity we desired was available to us. Highly recommended!
